General Introduction to Acıbadem Taksim Hospital
Acıbadem Taksim Hospital, the 18th facility of the Acıbadem Health Group, opened its doors in October 2015.
As a general-purpose hospital, Acıbadem Taksim spans approximately 24,000 square meters.
The hospital has a capacity of 93 beds and features 7 operating rooms. The General Intensive Care Unit accommodates 10 beds, including 2 isolated beds, while the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit includes 7 beds, with 1 isolated bed.
The Emergency Department is equipped with resuscitation, surgery, and orthopedic intervention rooms, separate ambulance and patient entrances, and an observation area for patients. It also includes examination rooms for specialties that frequently need to consult patients in the emergency department.

STANDARD ROOM
Each room also features a single chair for patient relatives to rest, an information brochure to mitigate fall risks, a metal grab rail in the toilets and bathrooms, and an emergency cord.
TYPE A SUITE ROOM
In our Type A Suite rooms, which are meticulously maintained with high hygiene standards and limited to only three rooms, there is also a sofa for the patient’s relatives to rest. A nurse call button is conveniently located next to the patient’s bed. Additionally, metal grab rails and emergency cords are provided in the toilets and bathrooms to minimize fall risks.

The average length of stay for patients undergoing inpatient physical therapy for neurorehabilitation is 8 weeks. However, this period may vary for each patient, depending on factors such as the extent of functional loss, the severity of brain or spinal cord damage, and the patient’s response to treatment. Once the patient’s condition stabilizes, outpatient treatments can be continued.

Upon admission to our inpatient service, a completely personalized rehabilitation program tailored to each patient’s needs will be offered throughout the day (4-6 hours of treatment time). The rehabilitation process includes an intensive exercise program using robotic rehabilitation devices, consultations for a holistic approach, and periodic patient evaluations.
During inpatient physical therapy, the patient works with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation nurses, speech and swallowing therapists, respiratory therapists, psychologists, and dietitians, under the leadership of the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Specialist Physician.

In the inpatient robotic rehabilitation, which lasts 4-6 hours daily, each patient receives:
- 1 walking robot (Lokomat Pro or C-Mill VR Plus)
- 1 hand-arm-finger robot (Armeo Spring or Amadeo)
- 2 physiotherapy sessions
- 2 electrotherapy sessions
- 1 occupational therapy session per day, with sessions varying from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the treatment applied.
Additionally, speech-swallowing therapy and respiratory therapy are included in the treatment program based on the patient’s specific needs.
All comprehensive examinations, assessments, and robotic rehabilitation applications needed by the patient are included in the package.
- All rehabilitation methods applied in inpatient physical therapy, such as robotic rehabilitation, physiotherapy, electrotherapy, occupational therapy, speech-swallowing therapy, and respiratory therapy, are included.
- Additionally, the package covers physician consultations in the necessary specialties, blood tests, medication administration, nursing services, accommodation and meal fees for both the patient and their companion, and specific examinations (e.g., X-ray, MRI, CT scan).
Non-specific treatments, such as dental care, incur extra fees.
