Cerebral Palsy Treatment

Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of movement disorders that arise in early childhood or at birth due to damage to the developing brain.

The symptoms of CP vary depending on the affected areas of the brain. CP results from abnormal development or damage to brain regions responsible for movement, balance, and posture, and it is the most common movement disorder in children. Alongside movement disorders, CP is often accompanied by sensory and perceptual problems, cognitive impairments, communication and behavioral issues, epilepsy, and secondary musculoskeletal problems.

A delay in motor development stages is a primary indicator of CP. Key motor development stages include head control, sitting, crawling, standing, and walking, which are monitored based on the patient’s age.

Our goal is to maximize independence and social integration by tailoring the rehabilitation program to the patient’s motor development stage. At NeuroverseClinic, we use robotic rehabilitation and virtual reality treatments to enhance participation and motivation in our CP patients.
